Despite difficulties such as the removal of the ecological bonus in France, electric quadricycles have advantages to play, so I offer you an overview of the main models that will be available in 2025.
The video

As there are quite a few of them, I have divided them into legal categories:
- First the L6e, that of the "without a license" limited to 45 km/h, (accessible from 14 years old in France, in reality with an AM license for people born after 1987).
- Then the L7e category which will be the subject of a later article, including vehicles driving for the most part at more or less 80 km/h, (accessible from 16 years old in France with at least a B1 license).
Category L6e 45 km/h max
Citroën Ami
- 7 990 €
- Autonomy : 75 km
- Trunk : no (63 liters storage spaces)
If we classify the L6e category in order of price, we first find the famous Citroën Ami whose undeniable advantage is precisely to be the least expensive. But in addition, in 2025, it will present a new look, in my opinion much better than the initial one. For the rest, it will be the same.
Mobilize Duo 45
- 9 990 €
- Autonomy : 161 km
- Trunk : no (90 liters storage spaces)
The Ami's most direct competitor is the Mobilize Duo 45, which has just gone on sale, and whose futuristic style, gullwing doors, long range of 161 km from the base model, and safety are convincing. It is the only one in its category to have an airbag.
La Bagnole
- 10 800 €
- Autonomy : 70 km
- Trunk : no. 650 liters loading platform
Next comes La Bagnole de Kilow, also in the start-up phase. Apart from a Jeep look that is very popular, its big advantage is its record loading capacity of 650 liters, which makes it a multi-purpose vehicle. As it can also tackle slightly bumpy roads, this allows it to target, among other things, rural areas neglected by its competitors, but also the city for last-mile deliveries.
Aixam e-Minauto
- 10 899 €
- Autonomy : 75 km
- Trunk : 422 liters
In a completely different style, the Aixam e-Minauto offers an appearance, a respectable 422 liters trunk, and a level of equipment that brings it closer to a real car. Its manufacturer has in France a long-standing reputation in the field of license-free cars.
Silence S04
- 11 990 €
- Autonomy : 75 km
- Trunk : 247 litres
The Silence S04 has recently been distributed by Nissan. In addition to good equipment, including air conditioning, what sets the S04 apart is its removable battery system that allows it to be recharged at home or in the office. This is an excellent solution for people who have no possibility of recharging where they park.
Ligier Myli
- 12 999€
- Autonomy : 63 km
- Trunk : 459 liters
Like Aixam, Ligier is a French manufacturer renowned for its no-license car. With comfortable seats, a large trunk of 459 liters and power steering, the Myli is reassuring.
Birò Small
- 14 700 €
- Autonomy : 55 km
- Trunk : 122 liters
The Birò Small lives up to its name since its length is only 1.80m, 60cm less than the Citroën Ami, it is the most compact on the market. Being also the oldest, it was the first to offer a removable battery that can be recharged at home.
Microlino Lite
- 17 990 €
- Autonomy : 95 km
- Trunk : 230 liters
We end with the Microlino Lite since it is the most expensive, but behind its atypical design, which takes up that of the old Isetta, hides a range of 95 km, above average, a self-supporting steel chassis which improves safety, covered with an aluminum body.
A common asset
In any case, let's keep in mind that electric quadricycles, small, light, low-consumption, are the lesser evil of individual car transport, both in manufacturing and in use, and that this is an advantage that they all have. As this graph shows, throughout its life, an electric quadricycle has 7 times less carbon impact than a thermal car, 3 times less than an electric car.
